About The Packing Shed

The Packing Shed was established in 1996 to provide Internet access to the Franklin area.

We currently have a number of PC's, all running Linux, that manage the Internet Services. We have a Lucent Max 6000 to handle incoming calls. A Cisco router manages our data circuit to the Internet.

E-mail, network routing, and Domain Name services are handled by the server applications built into Linux

Web hosting is handled by an Apache Web server with PHP, SSL, and Frontpage extensions.

Our own workstations are a mix of PC's running Linux.
