The Packing Shed is able to offer Telecom's high speed, always on, ADSL service to Packing Shed customers. Jetstream gives you a very fast connection to the Internet that will still allow you to use your phone. Jetstream can run as fast 6 MBits per second for incoming data and up to 600 Kbits per second for outgoing data. This is about 80 times faster than a 56K modem.

Our plans do not tie you to use us or anyone else as your toll provider. Plans marked with a speed of Max will run at the highest speed possible on your line.

Jetstream is charged by the amount of data you use per month and the speed. The following table outlines the charges for home and business broadband connections:

Some of the Jetstream plans have a component called Throttle on Cap (ToC); When you reach the monthly data allowance of the plan, the speed will be throttled back to 64 kb/s approximately twice the speed of a dialup modem) with no excess data charges

A fixed IP address can be arranged for an additional $15 per month.

ADSL Broadband is an additional service on your existing telephone line. Telecom will install the service on your line, and we will provide a ADSL modem to connect you computer to the service. The Packing Shed can provide a single port ADSL modem for free. You can opt for a 4-port modem or a wireless modem for an additional charge.

There is no connection fee for a standard installation (with a 12 month contract), this requires the use of line filters for any phones connected to the same phone line.

A wiring install is also available for $140 (with a 12 month contract) which doesn't require line filters for other phones and has a separate wall socket for the jetstream connection. A wiring install may be required if a standard installation fails.
